I regularly get an organic veg box, which occasionally contains items that I'm less familiar with, or are more challenging to make something delicious with. One that causes me a lot of trouble is Kohl Rabi, as it's not something I've come across, so don't know the best ways to prepare it. So, what is the best way to eat Kohl Rabi?
I want to prepare a nice corned beef meal, but I don't know the best way to do it. Last year I did it in a crock pot. It was delicious, but the brisket feel apart so much that the presentation was very lacking. I was unable to slice against the grain (probably had something to do with the subpar knife I was using, but still). I want good looking even slices of beef, so how should I cook the roast?
I simply love eating tuna, specially with sweet potato, sweet corn and mayonnaise but because tuna isn't good if you eat it everyday, I was wondering what could be best alternative that has good amount of protein in it and taste good or if I need to prepare something for myself but shouldn't be expensive.

I've got some nice honeycomb (submersed in honey) in a big jar, but the "best before" date was over 4 months ago! I was saving it for a year or two. Just realised the date is gone. Any possibility it's still OK? Any way I can be sure? Yesterday I tried to prepare shrimp for the first time. Basically the idea was to prepare shrimp and pasta. I bought frozen shrimp and followed the recipe. It was something like this: Heat olive oil and fry garlic. Add frozen shrimps and fry them until they become soft. Add cooking cream + Parmesan or Parmesan cream. ... The problem was that I fried the shrimp for 30 minutes and they never got soft enough. They were pretty hard. Obviously something went wrong. What is the best way to prepare shrimps?
Today someone at work described eating a delicious halibut taco. I've never had one before but it sounds awesome, so I'm going to try to make one some time this week (but since I have a lot of salmon in stock, I'm going to make it with salmon instead of halibut). How to quickly prepare fresh snails? I've heard snails must be soaked in salted water for a few hours in order to remove the mucus but a friend of mine suggested that the ones in shells can be simply thrown into the hot ash and after a dozen of minutes they can be taken off the shell and eaten.
